The Detroit development project is a photographic chronicle of the changes within the urban fabric of the city. Progress and transformation is tracked by photographing the same locations repeatedly over time as the project progresses and the landscape is transformed. The project focuses on the positive changes that are happening in the city as a way to add a visual counterpoint to the persistent negative attention that is frequently given to the city. The project finds beauty in forward progress and development as opposed to the beauty of decay that many photographers choose to focus on within the city.
